Vista memory parity error on hibernate

I get a blue screen memory parity error every time my system comes out
of hibernation (Sony Vaio laptop vgn fz340e).

I added memory several months ago; everything was fine until a few
weeks ago after a few auto updates. I also purchased and loaded a
firewire 800 express card around the same time, but can't see how that
would matter (althought that card doesn't work right either).

I ran the memory diagnostic tool and it did not find any memory errors.
