Vista/MS Works--does not work properly

Greetings All,

I recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite laptop which I absolutely love!
However, it came with Vista Home Premium with I absolutely despise! Anyhow,
Instead of an MS Office Suite, it came with MS Works pre-installed. It loads
up alright but within templates when I click on one of them (the majority of
them) I get an error message that says there is a problem and I must
re-install MS Works. I only got a recovery disk with my computer not
individual program software which bummed me out. Though there is a menu
within works that allows me to re-install it so I did this a couple of times
and still have the same problem. I am stumped, does anyone have any
suggestions or maybe encountered the same thing? I was real good at
diagnosing and fixing problems with my XP which I really liked but this
Vista is a headache and not very user-friendly, not at all! If I had the
money I would go out and buy XP and forget all about this encounter I have
had with Vista! Thanks for the help!

This is not necessarily a Windows Vista problem, but more of a problem with
either how the application was installed or some corruption. Try contacting
Toshiba support about this issue if its under warranty or relay your issue
in the following newsgroup:
microsoft.public.works.win
