Hi,
I have several notebooks with Windows Vista Business 32 installed.
After wakeup from sleeping mode, is necessary to reset network adapter to
get to the internet.
Otherwise only local network is reachable.
I disabled power off of network adapter during sleep mode, Disabled IP6. I
tried to install KB933872 but installation end because KB is not for my
operating system.

Yes I had this. Couldn't find a cure other than Windows 7!

I have the same problem

The strange part is that i have looked at several other vista laptops
and 1 works if you put it 50 cms away from the router, upon wake i
takes 20 seconds to find the networks.

My own laptop needs a reset as well.

Although it needs a reset ONLY in my home network. This does not happe
with public networks in coffee shops, and computer repair places.

Have you tried taking your notebook to wake up somewhere else

Hi
Is this is a wire or wireless NICs.
Some time the issue can be the Router and the way its DHCP provides IPs.

You might want to take a look at this...

Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or from
certain non-Microsoft DHCP servers
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928233

"Note: This issue does not occur in Windows 7. The registry key
DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle is set to 1 by default."

Possible scenario might be even though Windows Vista could obtain an IP
address through DHCP initially on boot, they might have problems
re-obtaining an IP address when they come out of sleep.

You might try getting the latest network drivers. Sometimes the people who
write the drivers forget to test all the functionality after coming out of
sleep mode.
