vista no admite busquedas incompletas

Hola a todo/as,

Hola!

As this is an English newsgroup, for best results one should post and expect
replies in English. There are other newsgroups that are hosted in
non-English languages and can be used by anyone who is either uncomfortable
with or unable to post in English.

Sorry, I though it was the spanish one. I donīt have any problems to
talk in english, so here I go:

my problem is that when I do a search in vista, I donīt get the
expected results, letīs say I search for "speedfan", and doesnīt give
me any results, but if I search for "speedfan354", which is the exact
name. I get the file I want, so I guess it has to be the exact name of
the file.

windows xp, however accepts incomplete words too, so maybe I have to
change some settings to make searches normally, just as in xp?

Thank you and regards

Something unusual is happening here, as the default behavior is to do
partial matches. Can you take a look in the Search Options {either from
explorer or through the Folder Options Control Panel}? There's a setting
there called "Find Partial Matches" that maybe has got unset ...
