I apologize if this is posted twice...I tried once last night and I dont
think it went through.
My cousin bought a computer a few months ago and it has been working fine up
until now. A few days ago her son took the monitor without shutting down the
computer. After a few days, she noticed the computer still running, so she
held the power button to turn it off. When she hooked the monitor and tried
to turn it back on, it came to either a black screen with a single dot in the
upper left, or a screen with the computer company's logo and a picture that
shows-
F2 BIOS Setup
F10 Boot Setup
I have tried both of those keys, as well as holding F8 while turning on the
power. I have also tried the recovery disk, and nothing seems to work.
There is no response from the computer in any situation, no mouse cursor on
the screen. As soon as I hit power, it's just a black screen.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
