Vista not saving 2003 profile changes

Hi,

Has anyone come across the issue where when a user logs off a vista machine
on a 2003 domain the changes are not saved to his profile.

Every time user logs in he has to recreate his mail profile and desktop
background etc.

I've tried moving him to a new OU with no GPOs, recreating the profile,
ensuring the permissions on the users folder are Authenticated Users - Full
Control, user - Full Control.

I've also changed the Default Domain Policy - Computer
Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\User Profiles >> Do not check
for user Ownership of Roaming Profile Folders = Enabled.

Any ideas guys?
