I too am having the same issue. I upgraded from WinXP Pro to Vista Home
Premium and have been "Faithfully" updating my system when windows prompts me
to. However, I have found that when I install optional update to Vista -
KB929735 my system will shutdown and restart but I get a Corrupt registry
error and I need to restore the system back to before I installed that
Update. Even the Startup repair function wont work first time and it takes a
couple of goes to get the system to start properly.
I hope there is a fix soon!
Cheers
