Vista will not start

Hi all, I'm running vista buisness 64bit or at least I was.

I wanted to shrink my partition and add another one with XP on it. So
I found a software called GParted which worked fine. I shrunk the c
drive and made room for a d drive. After trying to install xp and
failing I went back to start up vista. After my initial startup splash
screen it goes to a flashing curser and sits there.

I ran the repair vista from the cd and it did something, but the
problem is still there. From the repair screen I can run a cmd box and I
looked and all the files are still there. For some reason the bios isn't
detecting the partition or something and I'm not sure how to make it see
it. If anyone has an idea or surgestion I would be greatful.
