Vista Offline Files - over 1 minute to delay to access files

Hi,

if I'm connected to my network or I'm not connected to any network at all
the offline files work ok.

BUT if I'm connected to another network, e.g. Hotspot it takes over 1 minute
before the file select box is shown. Even if I set the files offline (new
button "work offline")

This decreases my productivity enormously.

If have already applied all offline files related hotfixes.

This is really a pain.

Is there any solution?

Thanks
Greg

Greg,

A recent hotfix that covers this very issue was recently published. I do
not have the KB article handy at the moment, nor do I even know if fix is
public. I will attempt to find this information for you tomorrow.

If you have files cached from a DFS share and you then move to a network that
does not have access to the DFS root you may experience delays. This bug has
been fixed but there, at this time, is no public KB on this issue. You may
be able to acquire a fix directly from Product Support. The contact
information is at the following link:

http://support.microsoft.com/default...%2Fdefault.asp

Sorry I could not be more helpful.
