I have noticed differnces between Windows Vista & Windows XP:
1) Documents (Vista) does not have a command "To Show On Desktop"
2) Internet Explorer (Vista) is a "shortcut"

Why would Microsoft change these features.... does anyone know.... please
advise... thank you

Your User folder shortcut in the Start Menu has the command Show on
Desktop, when you right-click it. Look for your user name at the top of the
list on the right-hand side.

To put the special IE icon on your desktop (the one where you
right-click the icon and choose Properties to get to Internet Options,
etc.), go here:
