Hello. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate and MS Outlook 2007 with all
patches/hot fixes installed. The machine is new, a Dell, with Norton
Internet Security installed.

I am unable to right-click and send images from My Documents to mail
recipients. When I try to right-click pictures to send, and select "Send to"
and "Mail Recipient" I do receive the "Attach Files" wizard and click
"Attach" button, I see the wizard try to attach the file, but then nothing
happens. I have verified that the Mailto: is pointing to MS Outlook 2007. I
do receive the following error in the Application event log:

This could be your Norton email check. Try shutting Norton down and retry
the Send to and if it works OK, re start Norton and look at its settings for
mail scans.

Unfortunately this didn't do the trick. I shut down all of the Norton and
Symantec services, Windows Firewall, etc. with no luck.

Thanks anyway!

Make sure that Outlook 2007 is the default e-mail program

Find and click on Default Programs, will be on the start menu, adminstrative
tools or the control panel (probably all 3)

Click on Set you default programs, highlight Outlook 2007 and then set as
default, OK

Then click on Set Program Access and Computer Defualts, click on Custom
(which should have the blue dot) and then make sure default e-mail program
has the blue dot and a there is a check in the enable access to this program,
OK.

If that doesn't work then try running the diagnostic tool in the Microsoft
Office Tools folder

FYI: When I use the send to menu it goes directly into e-mail, no wizard at
all. opens up a new e-mail with the file attached
