Having used a third party partitioning program to resize my c drive; i find
that windows explorer does not recognize the changes while the disk
management tools report the amount that i was shooting for.
Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on (which is right?) or how I might
be able to rectify this?
All seems to be working ok so far just the window explorer is recording it
as the original space
ran a chkdsk and defrag and nothing changed... am I gonna have to delve into
fdisk again after all these years?
Thanks for any and all help

what you are saying is strange.. what is this third party partition
managment program?

you resized the hard drive to make it bigger or smaller?

can you make 2 screenshots one of disk managment and one of the space
windows explorer shows
and upload them to www.imageshack.us ?

Give us a bit more info so we can help you better

I use Vista Business and it has a Partitioning Program built right into the
Operating System so there is no need for a third party partitioning program.

I saw your screenshot...

I think you have made more space but not resized the volume actually

You can do that with PARAGON DISK MANAGER (latest ver.)

that’s the best tool for the job

The left image is from device manager. Do you have an image of what
the disk looks like in Disk Management?
