Vista password not being accepted

Hello and help please

I have just added a password to my accout as i was going to set up use
accounts for the kids to use the pc as well

typed password in, then confirmed it (yes I am 100% sure of th
password) but when i rebooted the pc and entered the password it come
up as password incorrect - i have a linux boot disc for recoverin
passwords from pc's (only every used on windows xp, kids have a habit o
changing things then forgetting) but when run on vista it tells me tha
admin and guest are blank but my user's password is "not found"

so i am kind of stuck accessing my pc

any help on recovering/resetting this would be greatly appreciate

ok - i should have read through the other posts first, but you know wha
its like when things go wrong panic panic panic

I found the answer on another post and used my vista dvd to boot fro
and do a system restore

this forum will certainly be added to my favourites - vista can be
little quirky
