Vista password screen hangs

This started happening about the second week of January. I'm not wha
was installed, or what update might be causing this

So I have a password that I need to login to my computer. It used t
be that I could just type in the password, press enter, and my compute
would be all nice and loaded up in less than 30 seconds. Now, when
press enter, the password screen remains (with my icon and password box
for at least 15 seconds before the Welcome screen appears. Then it'l
take another 5-8 seconds before the welcome screen loads and my deskto
is visible. This causes HUUUGE delays. Does anyone know how to remed
this

Run autoruns and look at what's in the logon area:

No update causes this sort of an issue or everyone would be experiencing it.
It's something that has got into your startup axis.
