Vista permissions problem

I have an old game which began exhibiting a small fault
which in the old WinXP required reinstallation.
I reinstalled the game, but I now have a permissions problem
with Vista.
In my User access it just wont run, and because it does not
run well with Windows, nothing is reported.
If I switch to my Admin account I still cannot get it to run.
The screen goes black as normal for loading then switches
back to windows.
If I chose "run as administrator" it will run under both accounts,
(password being required under the user account).

I have changed what permissions I can via the Properties
to "All"

I am lost for what to do to get it to start from the icon.

p.s. The game folder is accessed via Program Files folder.
I seem to remember reading there is a way of curing this
via a normal route but I have forgotten what it was.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try making another account (admin) and see if the game works.
I have a customer that could only open IE with "run as admin", I created a
new account deleted her old account, (yes. to save documents?)
Her new account runs fine
I'm sure there is another way, but I don't know off hand.
