I have a UX380N, with vista business installed.
frequent problems associated with Windows Vista power management plans.
This is probably a motherboard bug.
Step-by-step details....
Modify the power plan in Vista to with either high performance or power
saver option, and then turn off the computer into sleep mode. Next time
when computer wakes up and logged in, the power plan selections are
usually lost and mis-configured, such as the time settings for the
display screen turn-off and/or system hibernation, and the processor's
max./min. performance settings in percentage numbers.
The above described problem occurs most of the time after sleep mode,
though not all the time. And it is particularly likely to happen when
the followings apply:
1. System stayed in sleep mode long enough(>20mins).
2. Edit the options in the power plan, then either turn on or off
Bluetooth, and then let the computer stay in sleep mode for 15mins or
more.
3. Wake up the computer from sleep mode and if a message shows under
the fingerprint login icon “please connect the fingerprint
reader…” (require setup biometric device)
Problem does not resolve after restoring to factory default settings.
