Does anyone have any idea of any fix for this. The systems totally locks up
randomly when running a web video and or audio program and it seems to be in
Media Player, iTunes and other programs as well. I am running Vista home
basic on this machine but it does the same thing on my HP running Vista
Ultimate as well.

I go back into the error messages in the application, systems, and
performance logs and can not find any suggestions on what the problem could
possible be.

I have looked through Blogs and find that this is happening on a variety of
machines and configurations and versions of Vista and the only suggestion
was to work in the config.msc utility and try turning off non Microsoft
services that you can.

Any light on this would be most appreciated.

Most likely be a memory problem if it locks up. when you say that, do
you need to turn off your computer so that it will continue to work?
What exactly happens?
Please fill out your system specs so that we can gain a better
understanding of your hardware.

Check your previously installed updates and see if audio or video drivers
were installed by Windows Update. I doubt it's by coincidence both
computers developed the same problem at the same time. If updates to these
items were installed you'll need to roll back the drivers or head to HP and
re-download.

Ive reread your post, sorry i misinterpreted before
Because this is happening to both your pc's is there a softwar
application that is on both of those machines that wasnt included wit
the Base OS - we are looking for commonalities between the two machine
to see if its an add-on or some software that is related to this cras
