Vista RC1 Catalog & Windows Search Service Fails

I am getting the following error:
The Windows Search Service has failed to created the new system catalog.
Internal error <1,0x80070002>.

Windows Search then terminates
The Windows Search service terminated with service-specific error 2147749155
(0x80040D23)

I cannot search files or emails any longer :-( Very sad...
Vista 5600 x86; Office 2007 Beta 2 TR; Mobile Device (SmartPhone)

PLEASE help!
BTW sorry if there are similar posts from me in the group: the site kept
erroring out on me.
