An RC1 is almost RTM isn't it, and that counts for Vista SP1-RC1 as well I
presume.
Well in this case RC1 is far below expectations : I have been testing an
earlier beta that was much more promising than the RC1 (what a shame).
SP1 does not seem to do away with the annoyances of the initial version :
UAC, slowlyness, etc.
New standards & technologies are of course very wellcome, on condition that
they add features and possibilities.
The features should never be "annoying"
The progress should never be a slower OS
That is why I would like DELL or MS to replace my Vista OS (that I paid for)
by a good old XP OS (that I paid for with my previous computer).
I guess that it is not too much asked, or am I mistaking ?
I have been using Windows since 1986 :
- Windows 3.0
- Windows 3.1
- Windows 3.11
- Windows 95
- Windows 98
- Windows 98 SE
- Windows XP
- Windows XP SP2
and now Vista
Every new version has been a joy, except Vista which is an annoying, slow
nightmare !
The best OS ever by MS has been Windows XP - and I want it back, although I
paid for Vista.
