Vista re-activate due to hardware change - without any hardware changed!?!

I suddenly get the message I should reactivate Vista due to a hardware
change.

There's nothing that was changed to my hardware at all. The proposed
procedure suggests I need to have (i.e. buy!) a new key since my existing
one is already in use.

What this is? I activate my legal Vista copy last month already! I have not
changed a single screw on my PC. What should I do? I live in Luxembourg.

Did you, or anyone else, try to install that copy of Vista on a different computer?
If not, follow the alternative procedure of contacting Microsoft for assistance.
They can give you an activation number which will work.

Have you updated drivers recently? Some have reported that changing some
drivers may be treated like a hardware change. Too many at one time or
within a time period, and it thinks you changed the computer.
