Bull crap, not if you know how to use a search tool. Depending on the
Distro, Linux can in fact be easier to setup, as many ovthe last couple
years have really polished installers that will guide you (but not
restrict you) though the process, and allow you to select each component
by hand, or choose from default configurations that give you a good
start based on what you plan to use the system for primarily.
That said, sometimes Vista installation and activation works as
described in the original post, but keep in mind sometimes it does not
go as smoothly. In my experience it can be a very hit-or-miss matter,
especially when dealing with changed hardware, especially the
motherboard. XP also had issues with that but I never really had so many
issues with that as we've constantly been running into with Vista.
It is nice when everything just works, regaurdless of what you are
running.
