Vista Reboots when a game is launched

hi acidbox,

i have same GC (Sapphire X1950XT 256MB GDDR3) and the same problem...
i only can tell, that in win xp it works smoothly.
if you find any solution, please let me know.

ok, i have the same problem and i find when the system reboots.
its at the moment, when program goes to full screen. if i run any game or 3d
program in window, system doesnt crash.

So basically you're saying that you left 2 sticks in still right?

The whole point of testing the memory is to take out all sticks but one and
test that stick in every slot.

If it works in every slot then you know that stick is good, if not then that
stick might be bad.

You then keep testing your sticks until they all either pass or fail
individually.

The chances of them all failing individually is very remote.

That's why we said take it down to one stick and test it that way.

Bad memory can corrupt an install like that, as I said, I've been doing this
for a long time and have seen lots of weird things.

ATI have posted on their site that Windows Vista does NOT support X1950XT
graphics cards at the present time....... so come on microsoft when will it?

Interesting, what does the 1950s do that the 1900s don't ? I thought it was
just faster memory on the 1950s
