Vista "Recent Items" not working

I'm running Vista Ultimate and the "Recent Items" menu under "Start" is not
working, nor has it ever worked. Both "store recently opened files" and
"store recently opened programs" is checked under start menu properties,
however the list remains empty.

Any help would be appreciated.

Take a look at the "How to Fix Recent Programs Not Being Remembered
section at this link. I believe this will get the Recent Items to wor
for you

Good information, however that did not work. My registry already contained
the information that it had you add.

Any other ideas? This is very frustrating.
