Cant boot in any mode. Even the Command prompt give me a black screen.

It also only offer me one date for a recovory (I saw at least 15 the day
before).

When I try the "repare windows" option, It says it cant be repaires (bad
drivers and ome other things).

Is there any way to fix Vista ? I dont want to reinstall everything.

Thank you.

Hi,

From what you describe, frankly no. You can't get a command prompt to run
the system file check. No gui mode works, so an in-place upgrade is out of
the question. Have you tried the one remaining restore point?

"bad drivers and some other things" indicates that the system was already
faulty or infested with malware. Could be a myriad of other causes as well.

The best you can hope for is a clean install without formatting *if* you
have enough drive space and the file system is not corrupt, otherwise not.
If you don't format, the existing installation will be moved to a
windows.old folder on the root where you can later recover data. Program
will need to be reinstalled from their original installation media.
