Hi Dave:
I have Microsoft Vista, IE7 (protected mode on), and Shockwave Flash player
ver 9.
When I searched certain sites on the internet IE7 ran so slow that I
sometimes thought that it was hung up.
I searched all over but couldn't find any help, so I did some stuff on my own.
In IE7 (with Protected Mode ON) I went to Tools --- Manage Add-ons --- and
disabled Shockwave Flash Object.
Suddenly IE7 started running 1000 times faster.
Now the only time I enable Shockwave Flash Player is when I have to use it,
and then I disable it when I'm done.
See if this also works for you.
I don't know who to blame Adobe or Microsoft but if enough of us complain
maybe they will fix it.
