Windows Vista is not a failure at all, it can't be simply because it uses
the same principles as previous versions of Windows so things such as a
learning curve is very limited. I personally have Vista running on multiple
hardware configurations and I have had a great experience across the board.
There is no doubt, Vista experienced a bit of hardware device driver
stability issues from the RTM release, but that has been pretty much ironed
out since early last year.
Here are some of my configs;
Dell 8300 Dimension
3.2 GHz P4
2.6 GBs of RAM
nVidia Geforce FX 5200 128 MB
Vista Ultimate x86 Edition
Generic home built system
1.6 GHz Sempron
512 MBs of RAM
nVidia Geforce FX 5200 128 MB
Vista Business x64 Edition
Acer Ferrari 5000
Dual core 2.0 GHz Turion
2 GBs of RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon x1600 256 MB
I have been running these systems with Vista since November/December 2006
and I have not experienced the type of issues (propaganda) started by
individuals who's ultimate aim (no pun intended) each day is to simply talk
negative information when they have not spent quality time themselves with
the system.
We must understand Windows Vista is still new, new versions of Windows are
known to do that, 2000 did it, XP did it.
