Hi, i'm having a problem with my window's vista home premium.
a few days ago the computer froze and i had to turn it off without first
shutting it down as i was unable to do so, and as such i restarted in safe
mode.
the thing is, now my windows task bar is no longer the standard windows task
bar, instead it remains as the safe mode task bar as well as all the windows,
which also remain as standard safe mode windows.

i was wondering how to get rid of this and get it back to normal.

regards, luke

When you are booting up hit "F8" on your keyboard. Select normal
startup.

I should have elaborated. Hit "F8" after the initial BIOS splash screen
when booting.

It may be too late with your numerous attempts, but 'last known good' works
best for these situations on the first reboot. You can try it now.

So, you are saying that it is running in normal mode, with the Safe mode
Resolution?
Did you go into Safe mode start>Programs>Accessories>Run> msconfig > And
then tick normal startup?

Also, check your Video driver.
