Vista screen flashing

Whenever I launch a new program (Internet explorer for example), the Window
flashes until i manually activate it with the mouse. This is driving me
crazy and does not enhance MS's reputation. How do I disable this.

Hi,

Assuming you are referring to the flashing in the taskbar, it means that you
have something set to prevent applications from stealing focus. Normally, a
program launched would assume priority on the screen, the exception being
when Task Manager is active. Have you installed any third party customizing,
skinning, or tweaking utilities? Security software?
