I installed it via Windows Update, and I hang my head in shame because I dont
remember if I shut down the other apps, usually they flash a message I do
shut them down, but as I recall, some of the d/l's took a long time on dialup
& I may not have shut down Iolo Firewall, I run AVG Professional anti virus
which I have for eons, plus, Spy Sweeper, Spybot, & System Mechanic . Since
posting my question I uninstalled KB940105 & KB936710 with no change. I dont
know if unstalling the SP1 for vista, would do any good and reinstalling it
with everything closed?
