I installed Vista Service Pack 1 and ever since am getting perpetual hounding
"Wisdows Host Process (Rundll32) Stopped". Several at a time with anything it
seems that I try to open, including my MSN, which is my server.

I've never ever ever had this problem with any of my past OS's.....is it the
service pack itself? Have tried troubleshooting with no real sucess. I
installed hotfix KB940105 & KB936710 the same day but havent uninstalled them
yet to see if those are the problems, also, havent tried a rollback.

Ive run my virus program, spybot, everything I have with no success so its
not the "bad startup, rundll".

I noticed my CD games wont open now, and I cant get into the Security Center
& some other apps won't open to troubleshoot.......... HELPPPPPPP !
Running Vista Home since April of 07.

Did you install Vista SP1 via Windows Update or manually?

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed? What
anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall
(if any)? Were ANY of these application running when you installed SP1?

I installed it via Windows Update, and I hang my head in shame because I dont
remember if I shut down the other apps, usually they flash a message I do
shut them down, but as I recall, some of the d/l's took a long time on dialup
& I may not have shut down Iolo Firewall, I run AVG Professional anti virus
which I have for eons, plus, Spy Sweeper, Spybot, & System Mechanic . Since
posting my question I uninstalled KB940105 & KB936710 with no change. I dont
know if unstalling the SP1 for vista, would do any good and reinstalling it
with everything closed?
