Hi.

Is there a solution to the Vista shut down delay as yet?
My systen still takes 45 seconds to shut down.
I tried about everything for over a month now but nothing worked.
I'm thinking about a complete new Vista install but I would like to find a
solution 1st in case this happens again in the future.
Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Tommy

Man....A WHOLE 45 seconds! I don't know how you can stand it.
I would reinstall right away I bet you get get that shut down
time down to 25 or 30 seconds.

Hi.

Just to let you guys know.
In the event log it does not say which program is causing the delay.
There is just a shut down error and a startup delay error.
The startup delay is related to MsMpEng.exe which is Windows Defender I
beleive and I'm working on that.(Defender is disabled by the way)
And yes 45 seconds isn't much but before my system was very fast in every
aspect,
The system used to shut down in about 5 seconds before and I was wondering
if I could get back to this state, that's all.
Also there is a permanent error for the shut down in the event log and
that's why I'm asking for some advise here.

Thanks,
Tommy
