Vista Sleep Issue

Please note that I did consult related posts and they do not match my
circumstance. This is a Vista Ultimate desktop with 8Gb and Quad Core
processors. The sleep function has worked flawlessly for about a year.
Putting it to sleep initially blackens the monitor only to return to a
screensaver image about three minutes later. Only significant change has
been a massive number of videos downloaded to a secondary SATA drive. Not
sure what I would be looking for in the event viewer in this instance.
guidance sought.

Hi,

Check for things that are scheduled to run on system idle. Examples include
indexing, defragging, antivirus updates and/or scans, malware program
updates and/or scans, etc.
