Vista is slow because it spys on computer users

I don't own a Mac but I bought a Vista machine from Dell. I asked to
return it because it ran so slow. They offered to install XP as it was
the only way to make it run at a decent speed.

Here are the facts,

1. XP is still going strong because computer manufactures don't want
to sell slow machines.

2. Microsoft it self is so mortified by the slow performance of Vista
that they are talking about introducing a new OS next year.

3. It is physically impossible for Vista to run as fast as Mac because
they use the same chips and Vista devotes most of its memory watching
the computer user.

Currently, Microsoft penalizes Vista users who fail to activate their
operating system software within 30 days, or three days after a major
hardware configuration change, by restricting Vista to running in "out-
of-grace reduced functionality mode." This denies access to games
included in Window Vista and to premium features such as Aero Glass,
ReadyBoost, and BitLocker. It also limits the amount of time the user
can remain logged in to one hour.

Owning a Vista machine is the same as have Big Brother watch you in
1984 except people are paying to be spied on. Vista monitors all
computer use and is capable of reporting the user to Microsoft for
anything that the user does be it a political or sexual preference or
merely sharing files with another person.

Then the machine obviously wasn't up to spec to run Vista. Caveat Emptor.

And you have links to prove that these are "facts" and not some trumped up
rubbish to assuage your personal guilt for not having researced properly?

Rubbish. My Vista laptop is as fast if not faster than my XP machine....

Agaain rubbish. They ARE talking about a new version of Windows, but
certainly NOT "next year"! Where on EARTH did you get that garbage from?

Presumably you are talking about superfetch? I suggest you do some serious
reading of the technical specs of superfetch before you spout such garbage.

XP has the same.....so what's new?

This is a piracy prevention function. If you don't like it, then don't buy
Windows.

What a pile of steaming vista poo!
I have installed vista on some of the fastest hardware available today.
4 cores and 4 gigs of ram and vga cards with 512 ram.

Vista runs like a piece of SH!T. Its slow even on fast machines like I
mentioned....

Sure to the untrained eye (like yours) you cannot see the difference in
speed. But I can tell.. because I know how to use a computer.

SO STOP THE CRAP AND GO AWAY WITH YOUR VISTA_BOY PROPAGANDA

Facts

More like opinions

#1: XP is still going strong because computer manufactures don't wan
to sell slow machines. Not true. It is very hard to find a compute
maker that doesn't bundle their machines with Vista

#2: Microsoft it self is so mortified by the slow performance of Vist
that they are talking about introducing a new OS next year. Also no
true. There is rumor that Microsoft may release a beta of Windows 7 nex
year, but it's only rumors

#3: It is physically impossible for Vista to run as fast as Mac becaus
they use the same chips and Vista devotes most of its memory watchin
the computer user. Only 1/2 true. Mac OS is a more streamlined OS
Vista is a more demanding OS in terms of resources (processor an
memory). But Vista does not phone home on everything you do, that is
pure rumor without any basis in fact

If you want to post "facts" about Vista, cite some authorities on th
issue. You're obviously having a poor experience with Vista. In m
experience, those that have poor experiences with Vista upgraded thei
machines when they were barely capable of running Vista. If you liked X
and want to stick with it fine. But please don't substitute you
opinions about Vista and try and pass them off as facts

Companies like DELL do tend to put a lot of "junkware" on PC and I get the feeling it slows them
down. This may be especially true for Vista since it requires more memory than XP just for itself.

My advice is to remove some of the junkware and see if the machine gets faster.

Also, when you say that it ran slow, do you mean it was slow to boot up, that programmes were slow
to launch, or that when a programme was actually running it was slow?

I am running Vista on a family-like desktop pc, using a amd athlon 4800+
processor, 2 gb memory, and it runs like a formula-1 racing car.
Take your advantage of it.
Greatings.
