Vista slow to boot.

I have Vista Ultimate on our laptop using an external 19" LCD monitor
and speakers.
In other words we're using it as a desktop.
Some times when I reboot it can take up to 5 minutes to come up.
Any idea how to fix this.
Other wise it's working well.
