Vista Slow on opening My Computer, Copying files, etc.

I had a serious problem that when I opened "My Computer" that Vista would
just hang for 5-10 seconds before displaying drives and locations.

I also had a problem copying files, specifically across the network. File
copy times were rediculously slow.

I dont know if this is a fix or not, but it did in fact fix my problem. I
uninstalled the network card and reinstalled it.

From that point forward, all of my delays disappeared.

Post if you try this and have success. I am curious if this was just a
fluke fix or not.

Had anyone came with a solution/fix for this?

Might be some antimalware or other process that slows down Windows Explorer.
Try killing non-essential processes in Task Manager - one at a time and test
Win Exp - to find the culprit.

The OP stated that the problem is already fixed. Read the post again.
