Try this
On the Start Menu, click on Games (on the right side of the menu). In the
Games folder, right-click Solitaire, and choose Saved Games. Delete the
file Solitaire.SolitaireSave-ms in the folder that appears. Solitaire will
keep asking you if you want to play your saved game as long as that file is
in C:\Users\(Your Name)\Saved Games\Microsoft Games\Solitaire

actually means? Obviously not. It does not mean he was not being paid
while working at MS, but that he was not paid for specifically
developing the solitaire game. Which is common practice
You've never worked for a major company have you? Otherwise you'd know
that when you're hired all of your inventions, innovations, patents,
etc., are the sole property of the company. That means all intellectual
property rights & patents, etc., rights of all things you come up with
belong to the company and you signed that agreement on or before your
first day at work.
This is standard throughout industry.
