Vista sound problem

Sometimes in chess titans the sound of a move will lag. Then when the
sound resumes it makes a screeching noise. If I close the program it
stops and its ok again when i reopen the program. Sound card, Video
card, or Windows?

Hi Richard,

Could be none of them, it could be background interference. Some process
running behind the scenes, possibly av scanning or other high priority
process, is taking a higher priority than the sound's hardware interrupt
thus causing the delay. You may wish to examine what is loading in the
startup axis to eliminate or minimize interference.
