Hi Richard,
Could be none of them, it could be background interference. Some process
running behind the scenes, possibly av scanning or other high priority
process, is taking a higher priority than the sound's hardware interrupt
thus causing the delay. You may wish to examine what is loading in the
startup axis to eliminate or minimize interference.
