Probably not relevant, but I use a 'long wire' to connect to my router, way
out there at 90+ meters, and it seems I had to go to half duplex on the
Properties of the ethernet card (speed tab) to let the system learn how to
handle it. Going back to full duplex a few days later held the fix. Don't
have any idea why this was true. Couldn't hurt to test your results with
this.
