Vista SP1 deployment via WU...

Hi!

I seem to have one of those 'bad' drivers that stop SP1 from updating via
WU. I spoke to a tech support agent for MS last night and they said it's not
the drivers that cause the fault, merely re-installing them after SP1
installs.

I installed the SP1 standalone and have had no problems since. Is this a
safe alternative to use?

They also said this problem was with WU and would be fixed on the 18th of
this month (April). Is this meaning I can get SP1 with the Creative drivers
installed fine via WU?

Ah that's fantastic news! Will this update be the 18th worldwide? I ask
because I live in the UK (GMT0) and was wondering if it will show up on the
18th here or will it have to wait until the USA hits the 18th? =)

What's this...Microsoft admits (for about the 1,000,000 time)
something is wrong with Windows? What or what will the fanboy buffoons
here do?

Hint: WU (Windows Update) has NEVER, I mean never ever worked
correctly. Not on XP, not in Vista. It... surprise is just more
Microsoft crap.

There newsgroups posts are dated in Pacific time. When it says midnight
here, that will be it.

The only guarantee Microsoft can keep is there will be more versions
of Windows and each new one will be more buggy, boated and slower then
the last version.
