Vista SP1 install question

My laptop is set to automatically install any Windows updates. Does this mean
SP1 will automatically install itself? If so, how can I check if it has or
has not done so?.

Unless you manually visit the Windows Update web site,
Microsoft will not be offering SP1 through Automatic
Updates until mid-April or so.

Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is not available for installation
from Windows Update and is not offered by Automatic Updates:

Carey, Please forgive me for sticking my nose in, but SP1 is available
through WU. Please re-read kb948343 and you will see that that title is
the name of a problem, not a statement of fact. It is a set of
instructions to cope with the problem of not being offered SP1. I
personally was offered, and installed SP1 through Automatic updates last
tuesday.
