Hi,

Just installed the SP1 for vista from the microsoft download site.

Install went okay (took about 1hr)

But have noticed after the install the following:

* UAC is showing for some applications (even though this has been turned off
in the control panel)
* Snap-ins (Event View and COmputer Managment taking alot longer to load)
* When using Outlook 2007 - the reading pane is now blank, i cannot close
outlook and i cannot use the delete key (on keyboard) in outlook now (all of
these worked before the SP1 install)

Anyone else experiencing these problems? Any ideas

Thanks

I Have Found That All Downloads On http://www.microsoft.com/downloads Has
Slowed Down 2 Crawl, Just FYI. Your Best Bet Is 2 Restore Your Computer 2
Service Pack 0 Using microsoft System Restore, And Then Wait Until April
18th, 2008, When Automatic Updates Begins Installing SP1 Automaticly, Just
FYI.

I did sorta a clean install, and didn't turn off UAC until after updating
to SP1, and have no problems with it. You might want to try re-enabling
it, rebooting, then turn it off again.

Yep, same here. No ideas.

I installed Outlook 07 after installing the service pack, and haven't had
any problems. Do you have SP1 for Office installed?
