I did go all the way through the download and
all three phases (100% complete) of the install only to be told that the
install was
unsuccessful. This happened five times and the whole process took over an
hour each time. Then it spends another 20 minutes or so reverting to the
previous state. I have deleted all temporary internet files and done a
defrag as well as a check disk. I have no idea why I come so
close and then fail (hardware problem? software problem? both?).
I'm using vista ultimate and all device drivers seem to be up to date.
Also, thee automatic updates list it, I'm not trying to load it stand alone.
