I wonder why Microsoft does not just provide a way to
download a copy of a retail Vista ISO with all of the
current SP1 and SP2 updates? That would save a lot of people
a lot of time. I know it would be big and there would have
to be both 32 and 64 bit versions.

I suspect they either do now or will shortly provide such a download
through either technet or MSDN subscriptions.
