Vista SP2 Stopped my Card Reader Working

I am running Vista Ultimate 32bit - after installing SP2 my 15 in 1 card
reader stopped working. Its drives do not appear in my computer. If I run
disk management it can see the slots but can't allocate them a letter. If I
look in hardware devices there is a list of storage volumes that can't start
(code 10). If I boot the computer with a card in the slot, the slot the card
is in shows up but none of the others do. If I uninstall SP2 all is well and
the slots appear again.

Any ideas?

Yes - I had no choice as its one built into my computer rather than one
attached via a USB lead

R. Giskard Reventlov,

You may also want to check with Microsoft directly for additional
support. Microsoft does have an official Windows Vista Support Forum
located here http://tinyurl.com/d5r9v3. It is supported by product
specialists as well as engineers and support teams. If the advice you
receive here does not resolve the problem, you may want to check the
threads over at TechNet.

The answer was to update my copy of Acronis True Image Home 2009 to the
latest version and it all works fine again!
