Vista Stop treating me like an idiot

I installed Vista onto my HP xw4100 last night. I like the graphics and most
of the features but there is one that I simply hate and I feel insulted
because of it.

You know what I'm talking about: User Account Control

On my computer I have Alcohol 120% installed, the reason for this is that a
couple of my PC games (Midtown Madness 1 & 2) are ran from old disks. So I
used Alcohol to make an image and emulate Safedisk. Everytime I want to play
any (and I mean any of my games, even ones I've made in C#), I get asked by
UAC whether or not I want it to run. I mean I clicked on it so yes I want it
to run you ^&%^&%! OS! And if I want to disable UAC (which I did) I get
another annoying message saying "UAC is not enabled! This is a security risk!"

Thank you for listening to my rant. (It's probably not the first, sory about
the expletive, I'm mad)

Be careful, Just FYI, there is a really-slow-person called kevpan815 here
who will probably try and talk you into using Ubuntu on your machine. Just
FYI.

Disable UAC and you should be normal again. Be carefull with all that
Alcohol. It can cause problems. Don't drive.

Just FYI

You can have "security" not tell you UAC is off.

vista is treating you like an idiot because it was made by idiots for
idiots.

Anyone with a functioning brain would abandon Vista, I suggest you do the
same

Ron I think you will find alot of people have not abondoned Vista. The
reason is they are not idiots. Only people who complain about a system
without a real complaint is reviewed as an idiot. This forum is for
helping people, not telling them to move or bin an os that is good. Use
what works for you and stop telling people what os works for them.

this is not a forum, this is a newsgroup. If you are reading this from a
forum, what is happening, is that particular site is
pulling the posts from the USENET and puting them into a forum.

Since this newsgroup is vista.general there is nothing to imply that it is
about support only. Saying vista stinks is quite ok and its true.

I guess its time for YOU to stop telling people what to say or not... ha!
