I've done some reseach after seeing my HDD lose 3 to 4GB of open space daily.
I realize this is caused by the System Restore Points. I have Turned off SR
which of course deletes all SR and gained back over 30GB. MY HDD is 620GB.
From my reseach it appears the pagefile.exe (which I think is the same file
used under previous OS called Swap File) is the file that grows in size and
so each time a SR is recorded this pagefile.exe is recorded. Am I correct?

The swap file I recall would chnage in size, grwo large then get much
smaller over time and the cycle would duplicate...large...small. Does the
Pagefile do the same? I realize at 620HDD I have room...but, it is in my
opinion of no value to have 10 plus Restore Points spanding back 2
weeks...taking up this much space. I mean, if a restore is needed following
and update\Software\driver, etc Install, you are going to know you have a
problem almost right away so the vlaue of a restore point a week old...and
taking up space is useless.

I know I can use a tool to allocate less space to SR.....but at this point I
am trying to find out if in time the Pagefile which is taking up the HDD
space when a RS is recorded, if this file will over time get smaller. I
tried to look at the pagefile.exe....but a search of my drive finds No
Results.

No.

With a disk as large as yours, something on the order of over 70 gigs
of space is allocated for holding restore points and volume shadow
copies. Use of that space will continue to grow until that space is
filled, and shouldn't grow any move beyond that. As space becomes
needed for new restore points or copies, older ones will be deleted.

Should you be interested in reducing the allocated size, look here:

<SNIP>

No. The pagefile (swapfile) has nothing to do with Restore Points. It is
used to hold the currently unused contents of RAM memory when too much
memory is in use. It will change in size (up to some limit) as memory usage
varies during a session.
