You see many people posting here with problems because the majority of
people, who have no problems, don't bother to post here.
It's not Microsoft's fault that such and such hardware or software doesn't
work...it's the manufacturer of that stuff that is to blame.

I can't believe this operating system sucks so bad! Why are there so many
posts here? Why are people having so many problems? Why can 't Microsoft
make products that work the first time? Why have a beta program if all
these problems still happen?

That's a joke, especially coming from someone with your handle.

It doesn't work with Vista because Vista didn't exist when it was created,
and the vendor has failed to release an update to make it work.

This pea brain can't figure out what I said. Obviously you see people
complaining here...the people who have no problems don't bother posting...he
can't quite grasp that.

All software, any software will have glitches upon initial release. Only my
very old programs (10 years) and hardware have problems. I don't find that
surprising. There was a post that says the 20 million copies have been
sold. If that is true and the posts here represent mostly users with
problems, then the number of serious problems is minimal. I had to dump
many of my old DOS programs when Windows was released. I think many worked
with Windows 3.1, but after that, too bad. It seems that the major problems
are with those who have upgraded from XP. There seem to be some residual XP
stuff that conflicts with Vista. Those users could backup their data files,
reformat the C: drive and do a fresh install. It's a pain, but most
problems will disappear.

No hardware or software manufacturer is going to design software or hardware
that intentionally doesn't work with Vista.
It doesn't work with Vista because of Vista!

Have said this many times before and will say it again. Microsoft is 'not'
to blame for all the woes in the software/hardware world. Both software and
hardware manufacturers had ample time during the Vista beta trials in which
to update their software and/or hardware. They chose to delay doing this
until Vista was released. When Vista was released and users started
installing their 'old' software out came the hue and cry (as it did with XP)
the damn thing doesn't work that's Microsoft's fault, again! I personally
know of a number of software developer's (big names at that) that have no
intention, at least for another two or three months, of updating their
current software to run on Vista. This is a marvellous time for software and
hardware manufacturer's to get you to buy new software/hardware, the dollar
or pounds will be literally dropping from heaven into the bank. But of
course the software/hardware companies aren't to blame for their further
riches are they, No, of course not, it Microsoft, as always!

Peter i wholeheartedly agree with your comments!

Nor are they entirely guilt free. For an OS that was supposedly 5 years in
development Vista is quite a disappointment.
