Windows Vista makes MS look very bad. I think that they just slopped Vista
into place and forgot about it - thinking that everything would go well. I
know many, many people switching to MAC, linux, Apple, or other companies
because of Vista. The same with Office 2007. It is very similar to 2003. Even
XP is a whole lot better than Vista. To me, Windows 2000 (2k) was the best
operating system made. Everything seems to have gone down hill after Win.
2000. I dread having to purchase another computer with VISTA on it. My last
XP home died earlier this year. I think I am better off to just find another
XP and use that than have so many bugs and issues with Vista.

Just the look at Vista makes me want to puke. It SUCKS!

GREAT JOB ON MAKING VISTA, MS (NOT REALLY)

Gee, please don't tell my three installations of Vista they suck. They might
take it to heart and stop performing so well.
Two desktops with Ultimate and a laptop with Home Premium. A couple of minor
issues with one desktop, easily sorted with help from these forums.
Of course, I did check out potential hardware/software issues (with the
tools provided) *before* installing.

You should run to Ubuntu so you won't have to deal with Microsoft any more.
By the way, you can start posting in the Ubuntu forums when you run into
even more problems with their Open Source and Free software. Just don't
come whining and bitching around here.

Bye bye now.

Your generalities and lack of specifics are strong evidence you are a
troll.
If you have issues with Windows Vista post the specifics in a new
thread to the appropriate newsgroup so someone may be able to help
with a solution.

If on the other hand you have never really used Windows Vista as I and
possibly others suspect, then you are certainly a troll.

OK, so don't. DELL sells computers with xp on them and also has an option
on several models for Ubuntu Linux.

FWIW - many consultants have advised clients to wait for at least SP1
before getting into vista. It seems to work for some folks, an not so well
for others. Rather high probability of significant issues. At least one
local computer store here sells xp but not vista.

speak for yourself...

I am sure he is not a troll.. many many many people are voicing the same
exact things...

He doesn't need to ask for help, since he is not looking for help.
He is criticizing in a newsgroup about a product that is relative to this
newsgroup, but it seems criticism is something that you cannot tolerate.

MS should wander over here and look at posts like this and make sure they
make products that are far better than vista.

I find these posts constructive, even if they are not saying something
specific, MS can find out the specifics if they stay on this newsgroup for 1
week ... perhaps if enough people complained MS will start being more
careful

what does MVP mean anyway? Microsoft Vista Propaganda ? :-)

Uhhh...if you check this ng I think you'll find about a dozen or so,
maybe less, maybe a few more, who have posted a rant just like your
friend did.
I don't think that quite qualifies as..."many many many people".
Most here are simply seeking help in using and/or customizing Vista.
We also note that some have confused Vista with nothing more than an
eye-candied up version of XP, which it is not. Their mistake. It does
appear that the majority of Vista users are enjoying their computing
experience.

I find these posts destructive, because they are not saying something

Do you really think Microsoft would wander over here and have a good laugh
at the posts? They don't care. All they want to do is push out product,
work their programmers 16+ hours a day and rake in the cash!
