Hi,

My Vista Business SP1 shows wrong time when I select a time for the second
clock from Gadget side bar.

My system time zone is GMT (with daytime saving option on). My second clock
set to (GMT+3:30) Tehran, but it actually shows (GMT+2:30)!

Any ideas?

Regards

Med

Do you see the same effect if you put additional clocks 'GMT+00
Monrovia,Reykjavik' and 'GMT+3:30 Tehran' on the taskbar clock ?
Monrovia,Reykjavik has no DST.

Hi To,

Yes, I just tried it and it has same effect, it is off by one hour. Is this
Vista bug?

Med

P.S My work-around is to set my second clock to GMT+4:30 Kabul time and
rename the clock to Tehran!

The same settings on my PC show a +3.5 hour offset for Tehran from GMT
and +2.5 hours from London etc.DST (i.e.BST).
I think that means that Tehran has no DST at the moment whereas you show
a further hour in the wrong direction but my brain hurts now.

I see 'removed' (whatever that means) against the DST dates for Iran in
the Dec 2007 DST update (KB942763). Do you have the latest DST update
(KB951072 of August 2008) ?

Regards
Tom

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your time again. I tried to download and install latest DST for
Vista, but it says update does not apply to my operating system! My Vista
SP1 probably has the latest version installed already. I think "Removed"
againts Tehran DST has something to do with causing this problem.

Regards

Med
