I am running Vista Ultimate and am unable to acess the Battery tab on the
Power Options - Advanced settings window. I have seen it in the past but
since installing a UPS control application from a third party and then
uninstalling it I am unable to access (or find) any battery configuration
screen. Please help.

The third party app has made some registry setting you do not have access
to, beyond a registry hack. I would try for a system restore or system
backup to before the install.

I would prefer to make adjustments to the registry - are you able to indicate
the necessary keys and values?
