Vista Ultimate is Freezing from time to time

I have a big problem withj my vista - i think.
I ahve board a new top-computer and it was
pre-installed with Vista Ultimate.
Everything work ok, except that the computer freeze
from time to time. And I need to switch off the powerkabel to
reboot. I have installed SP1. Does the same now and before.

Any idea?

Your first suspect for a freeze is an overload of your resources. Watching
the Task Manager, or running the Performance apps in your Administrative
Tools might tell you what is happening.

What indicates that it is frozen? How often is time to time?

Does disk activity light flash during the freeze, steady on or off?. Are
keyboard and mouse wired or wireless. Check their hub if wireless. Check
event viewer in administrative tools. Is there an activity when this happens
or completely random. No error messages, ever?

If the computer is new don't mess with it another second. Return it for
repair or replacement.
